The ActiveEmail OLE/COM component provides SMTP e-mail functionality to any Windows script or Windows development platform. The component does not require MAPI. It features: custom header fields for messages. Create message body (plain or HTML). Create message body using character sets like US-ASCII, ISO-8859-2. Add attachments using Base64 or Quoted-printable. Attachments can be embedded in message body. Add MIME entities. Set the message sender, read-receipt, read-receipt address, multiple message authors, multiple Reply-To (singles and groups), multiple primary, CC, and BCC recipients singles and groups. Authentication using the AUTH LOGIN mechanism.
To improve performance, outgoing mails can be queued, and processed in the background by the ActiveEmail Queue service (with no extra costs).
The product also features NNTP news postings to news servers.
Product can be used with ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, Access, Visual Basic, Visual C++, C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net on various operating systems, including Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT 4, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 2003.
